What happened to the R2?
You might have noticed that we haven’t focused much on the development of the MaxxStick R2 since we released the MaxxStick R3. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, we had reached the limits of what the MaxxStick R2 could do with its microcontroller. Secondly, we encountered issues procuring the microcontroller for the R2, which forced us to switch to an entirely different architecture for the MaxxStick R3.
Here’s how the R2.5 is better
While the R3’s exterior appears similar to the R2, it’s considerably more powerful internally. The R3 boasts a 1000Hz polling rate compared to the R2’s 125Hz, more advanced functionality, and a multifunction button to switch modes – features the R2 lacks. Given these limitations, we wanted to provide MaxxStick R2 owners with the opportunity to access the R3’s cutting-edge features.
